Apomo, officially the Apomo Democratic Republic, while sometimes refered to as the Andalusian Republic, is a sovereign state in Andalusia. The ADR originates in mainland Andalus, after the Andalus Civil War, but now governs the island of Apomo, which makes up over 99% of its territory, as well as other minor islands. Neighboring states include the Federal Kingdom of Andalus to the north, and the state of Noam to the south. Apomo is one of the most densely populated places in the world.

Under the 2002 Duis Agreement, Apomo is officially part of (and recognized) as an integral part of Andalus, but is entirely independent from the Andalusian confederal system. Thus, Apomo is technically it's own independent state, as it operates outside the framework of Andalus.

The island of Apomo has always been an ethnically diverse state, being home to major trading ports for ships crossing the ocean to Andalusia. The island was captured by Etruscan forces in the 1830s. The Beidar population was expelled by the Etruscans following the failed Sella Uprising in 1854. The island was one of the last places Etrusque handed over to Abbasid after the Rasheed Agreement. The island remained a Beidar stronghold against Tiberias in the Beidar-Tiberian wars, until it was captured by Tiberias in the Great War. When fighting broke out between the government and Left wing radical parties, the island become a decisive battle ground, seeing the several major battles. After the Beidar Socialist victory in the Andalusian Civil War over 2 million Bakri citizens from the mainland were said to have fled to the island, along with the Royal government. In 1974 public frustration forced the government-in-exile from the island, effectively disestablishing the Kingdom of Andalus. Apomo was susequently annexed by the Republic of Andalus, and President Faisal was quick to forcefully exile millions of Bakri peoples to the island.

After the successful restoration of the Andalusian monarchy through the 1982 Andalusian referendum, Socialist loyalists relocated to Apomo, and established the Apomo Democratic Republic as a successor of the Republic of Andalus, and its jurisdiction became limited to Apomo and its surrounding islands. The international community did not recognize the new state, instead supporting the Federal Kingdom of Andalus. However, the 7 states recognize the ADR as a legitimate government, separate from mainland Andalus. At the same time, 98 states have official "economic and cultural" relations with the island, recognizing it as part of the "wider Andalusian state".
